The house of herbs close to Kerkini Lake/Serres

The house is located at Ammoudia village in the plain of Serres in Northern Greece, close to lake Kerkini (about 15km) & the Strymonas river. It’s a bioclimatic residence designed by me, with pool, garden & vegetable garden. You can eat at the yard or relax in the pool after your excursions in the area. The Kerkini lake & the mountain Belles are a "must" & ideal for hiking, bike, horse riding. Visit our farm with the herbs and our laboratory where we prepare our products (teas,spices,soaps etc) Your room is located at the 1st floor of the house with its own bathroom. It's a quite modern and simple room, designed by me like the whole home. Many of the paintings and other decorative or utilitarian objects are my creations. Of course you can use the living room and the kitchen to prepare your meal, using some of our organic products (seasonal vegetables of our vegetable garden, eggs, chicken meat) or some others local products such as buffalo meat, local sausages etc. After your excursions to the marvelous nature around, you can relax at the yard by the pool which is surrounded of our garden full of green plants, flowers and herbs. There you can eat your meals, read a book or just listening to the silent or some music, enjoying the natural environment and tranquility of the place I could help you to schedule your excursions in the surrounding area (Lake Kerkini, mountain Belles, natural thermal spa at Aggistro and Sidirokastro, Allistratis Cave and river, old stone Bridges at Achladochori, Strimonas River, etc.). Also, I will be glad if you like to have a visit to my organic farm with the aromatic plants and the laboratory. I like to have a talk with the visitors but also I fully respect the fact that people sometimes want some seclusion for themselves. Μy time schedule varies a lot from day to day so when Ι'm around I can help you with anything you need and also may spend time with you in or out of the house.
