The house is situated in a village lane which backs onto an open aspect with wonderful views. Villa Zoi Sleeps 2 to 8 comfortably and is ideal for families or groups. The main house, downstairs, sleeps 4 in one double and one twin bedroom, with lounge, fully fitted kitchen, washing machine and bathroom. Upstairs, accessed by external steps are 2 self contained studio apartments with twin beds and bathroom . The house and studios cannot be booked separately. The swimming pool which is below the house is surrounded by trees and greenery - and therefore very private.Villa Zoi offers simplicity and tranquillity to those who'd like to experience authentic rural Cretan life without having to forgo the luxuries of a private pool, The villa is far from tourism crowds and is sunny and quiet .about 12km from the coastal village of Georgioupolis. Its location is 34 km east of Chania which takes about 30 minutes drive along the National Road and 45km to Chania airport (code CHQ) and 150km to Heraklion airport (code HER) Further comments about the area: The villa is located on a hillside in the village of Tzitzifes in West Crete. Tzitzifes is a traditional Cretan village situated in the Apokoron a tiny hamlet immersed in the countryside where flocks of sheep with bells round their necks are tended by their shepherds as they wander between the olive trees - this is true country life. Tzitzifes is an old historical village with approximately 80 residents which has retained its color and way of life. Two family run tavernas offer the visitor tasty traditional dishes of Cretan cuisine. If you are looking for really good food we've heard whispers some very notable personalities for the taverna Tzitzifia 2 minutes walk from our villa. Near the small village square and within walking distance from the villa there is a coffee shop,and a factory to make traditional crete cheese graviera , feta and yourgiot . The village is known for the good quality milk products. Tzitzifes village is the ideal place to relax, and enjoy the nature while staying with your partner or family. For people showing sensitivity and particular sympathy for: nature, relaxation, exercise, nutrition with pure ecological products, taste and delight, entertainment and communication with the locals(in English mostly), and time for recollection The surrounding area has several beautiful nature paths for walking .. Vryses is about 6km from the village of Tzitzifes , you may find all basic facilities, such as a supermarket, pharmacy, post office, bakery, ATM, gas station and taxi service. .From here you can make everyday excursions to the sandy beaches and country side around. . The coastal village of Sfakia , Fragokastelo and Impros gorge is about 60 minutes driving distance. In Georgioupoli (12 km ) it has a wonderful sandy beach with crystal clear water and a shallow section particularly suitable for small kids. This Blue Flag rated beach is organized with sun beds and umbrellas and sea sports services. The large town of Chania of course offers the visitor a wider range of choices for shopping, dining and night life mostly centered around the old Venetian port. Some interesting monuments in Chania town are the covered Municipal Market, the Venetian fortifications, the Egyptian Lighthouse, the Synagogue, the Fortress of Firkas, the Mosque of Giali Tzamisi, and the Orthodox Cathedral Chania
