Short term lease registration number 00000394478 There are two floors in the accommodation. On the upper floor there is the main bedroom with double bed or two separate beds depending on the guests wish, TV, wardrobe and windows with unique view to the sea and mountains. There are also another two bed bedroom with wardrobe and the main bathroom. On the same floor there is the large and sunny sitting room with astonishing view, satellite TV and fireplace. A big dinning table, where up to 10 people can be served, is next to the fully equipped kitchen. The floor, the ceiling and the doors are wooden handmade in traditional style providing as well as with the furniture (which many of them are antiques), a very cosy sense to the guests. The lower floor includes a reception hall, a guest room with double or separate beds, two sofas, closet and chest of drawers, TV, view to the yard and separate bathroom. There is also another double bed bedroom with separate bathroom. The house is warmed by central heating, but also the fireplace and the air condition may assist. During summer, although the mean temperature is quite pleasant, the strong air condition can offer more dew. The stone floor yard provides unlimited view to the sea and mountains and to city of Volos, being identical for children, relaxing, having coffee or breakfast outside or a romantic dinner watching the city lights, depending on the season. The best way to reach the mansion is by car. If you are driving to Volos on the Thessaloniki-Larisa-Athens highway, you have to turn to the Velestino sign direction and then left to Volos direction. Before entering the city, follow the sign to Portaria direction. This will lead you to Volos ring road. Go right and then turn left to the direction Portaria. You may drive straight to Portaria village and then to Makrinitsa, but is very much sorter to turn left to “koukouravas” road and go up to Makrinitsa. Unfortunately, there is no sign and so the best to do is to ask. In case you drive via Portaria, go up the end of the road and you will be in Makrinitsa’s car parking. There you will meet Tomi or Yannis to lead you on foot to the house. In case you reach Makrinitsa from the sorter way, stop and park your car on the street, just after you pass the sign “Mansion Salti” and the for coming close left turn. There you will meet someone to get you to the house. Please notice, that there is no vehicle access in the village. The meeting point will be arranged by phone. Public transport by bus and taxi’s departing from the parking area. It is important that the guests can reach the mansion in 3-7 minutes walking, depending on where they will park. The main street and the center of the village, where the restaurants, café’s and traditional shops are, is only 5 minutes walking. All village’s sights and facilities are in walking distance from the mansion. Portaria village is only 4km away from Makrinitsa. More restaurants, café’s, bars, shops, a bank ATM and a pharmacy can be found there. Finally Volos city is only 20 minutes driving from the mansion. There are also frequent public transportation to Volos and two taxis in service. The beautiful, coastal city of Volos provides everything somebody may need including a modern general hospital in an emergency case.
