VillaKoutami is situated in the village of Megaloni, Skinaria about 2,5 kilometres from the traditional village of Ano Volimes, on the island of Zakynthos or ‘Zante’. The villa is 1.6 km from the Macri Gialos beach and 2,35 km from the port of Aghios Nicholaos of Zakynthos. Villa Koutami has the most fantastic panoramic three hundred and sixty degree views over the Ionian Sea and the beautiful un-spoiled mountain side landscape. The villa is set in its totally secluded landscape in ancient olive groves. The mountain rises behind Villa Koutami to two peaks, where the un touched marquis Mediterranean herbs and cypresses grow wild. Villa Koutami is about 5 km from the famous “Shipwreck”. beach From a raised viewing platform, you can enjoy the amazing chalk cliffs and down to the wreck a thousand metres below or sit and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. You can visit the beach “Makris Gialos” (Long Beach) a natural beach with caves and rock formations where you can scuba dive or take a boat trip to the ShipWreck You can also take a boat trip to the blue caves and the ship wreck from Aghios Nicolaos. The well-known blue caves of Zakynthos, are awe inspiring. The ancient Monastery of Saint Giorgos Krimon and the monastery at Anofenitria; the historically significant church of Holy “Crying” Mary where SaintDionysios, the patron saint of Zakynthos lived and served God as a monk, the beautiful “Kampi” with its holy cross and much more, are very well worth visiting. The area has many restaurants and traditional taverns, as well as clubs and snack bars. For a more vivid nightlife, one can choose Alykes, Tsilivi, Laganas and Zakynthos town, 12 to 30 kilometres away. The location also offers a wide variety of nature trails and paths, ideal for hiking, trekking or just a good walk to admire the beautiful scenery of the island. For sports enthusiasts, we recommend the Peligoni Club (about 2 km from the villa), where you can take lessons (or use the equipment and the facilities) windsurfing, sailing and other watersports.
