Hello, I'm Thalia

Since 2004, after nearly thirty years, I return to my birthplace, the village of Ammoudia, located on a plain in Northern Greece between the city of Serres and the lake Kerkini, Ammoudia is also the place I grow up.
I studied Architecture at the Aristoteleio University of Thessaloniki, Operatore di moda in Istituto Secili Milano, history of the theater, scenography, costume design, and painting. I worked for many years as architect as well in the fashion industry as a designer.
I have lived in Thessaloniki, in Milan, in Athens, in Nea Makri of Attiki and the island of Crete.
Since 2013 I started the organic cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants, which I use as raw materials for the creation of botanical blends of teas, of aromatic seasoning, and natural products for personal care (soaps, salves, etc.). The brand name of our company is "Phytosophia" (Φυτοσοφία), a composite of the words plant (φυτό-phyto) and philosophy (φιλοσοφία). “φ” is our logo wich is also the symbol for Golden Section in mathematics and the expression of variety, economy and unity in the diversity of nature.

The laboratory is located next to the house and you can watch closely the various tasks or to take part in the process. Besides herbs, I spend many hours reading, taking care of the vegetable garden and the house chickens. These materials are used in cooking, along with other local materials.
Lately I gained a new passion; playing Bridge cards, which is a fascinating mental game.
